Odenton is home to many communities, each with its own history and traditions. The Odenton Heritage Society can help you learn about a community near you or discover one you didn’t know existed. It is located at 1367 Odenton Rd, Odenton, MD 21113. With the help of our volunteer historians and local community members, we can help you learn about our town’s past — from the founding of the first permanent white settlement in Anne Arundel County through present-day identical events. Introducing the Odenton Heritage Society
The Odenton Heritage Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Odenton’s heritage, helping to preserve Odenton’s history for future generations, and sharing Odenton’s history with the world. Founded in 1999, the Odenton Heritage Society is one of the oldest genealogy societies in Maryland and one of the oldest in the United States. Our primary goal is to educate the public about Odenton’s rich history and encourage pride in the community. The Odenton Heritage Society holds several annual events, including the Odenton Days Fall Festival, the Odenton Days Spring Festival, and the Odenton Days Summer Festival. We also host other events throughout the year, such as an annual summer picnic and a winter Potluck Dinner. We are also currently working on creating an online digital history of Odenton, which will be available for everyone to view and access.

We host several annual events, including the Odenton Days Fall Festival, the Odenton Days Spring Festival, the Odenton Days Summer Festival, and an annual winter Potluck Dinner. Where to find more information on Odenton’s history
The Odenton Heritage Society has over 250 pages of articles, photos, videos, oral histories, and more about Odenton’s history. These pages can be found on our website, odentonheritage.org. We also have a Facebook page, and we’re active on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. Our most recent oral history was conducted in the fall of 2018 and will be posted on our website in the coming months. The Odenton Days Fall Festival is our largest event. This event takes place on the first Saturday and Sunday of October at the Odenton Historic District. There are a variety of events held during the festival, including a craft fair, live music, a family-friendly parade, a children’s area, and more.

Mr Joseph was by far the most responsive of the three companies we contacted. He came to inspect or driveway on the date and time he promised, gave us a firm quote, and he and his crew arrived on the appointed day at the scheduled time. They edged and cleared the old surface, then laid the new asphalt with the edges tapered to align with our patio and sidewalk. When they were finished the new surface was truly beautiful (and functional).
