Odenton
Odenton is a census-designated place in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is about 10 to 20 minutes away from Annapolis, the state capital. The town has a diverse population and has long benefited from its location along the Baltimore-Washington line. The town was once a small farming community, but it soon expanded with the construction of the Annapolis Elk Ridge Railroad in 1840. It was the only connection between the North and the capital, and it was defended fiercely during the Civil War. Then, when the Baltimore Potomac Railroad was built, the town expanded its local passenger service. Odenton was founded in the mid-1800s. During this time, a steam-powered railroad connected Baltimore with Washington, D.C. The town had its own railroad station named after the former governor of Maryland, Oden Bowie. The station was opened on July 2, 1872. Today, the station is part of the MARC commuter line.
In recent years, Odenton has become one of the fastest-growing areas in the county. The area is close to NSA headquarters, the Fort George G. Meade Army Base, and Washington, D.C., as well as the Annapolis area. New housing developments like the Piney Orchard are fueling this growth, and the Odenton Town Center is under construction.

They edged and cleared the old surface, then laid the new asphalt with the edges tapered to align with our patio and sidewalk.
